How do I identify my Audi A3 year and series?
Use the Audi A3 vehicle data label and the VIN visible through the lower windscreen to confirm the manufacture date and chassis. Then confirm whether the car is a Hatch, Sedan or Convertible.
For 8V, body shape matters: Sedan uses a 19-inch passenger blade, while Hatch and Convertible use 18 inches. Match the car to GY, 8V, 8P Facelift, 8P or 8L before choosing the blades.

How to install front wiper blades for the Audi A3?
Put the GY wipers into the raised position, then support one arm. Release the small lock on the keyed slim top-lock and pull the blade off the keyed arm. Slide the replacement into the low-profile adaptor until its catch engages, and check the lock before lowering it.
How do I install the rear wiper blade on a Audi A3?
GY Hatch uses a slide-on tongue rear fitting. The 8V Hatch rear also slides into a moulded tongue channel, while 8L Hatch uses a J-hook rear arm.
What connector type does the Audi A3 use?
GY uses keyed slim top-lock fronts. 8V uses narrow push button, later 8P uses pinch tabs, early 8P uses side pin and 8L uses J-hook.
Did Audi A3 wiper blade sizes change between generations?
Yes. Front pairs change from 21/19 on 8L to 24/19 on 8P, then vary by 8V body at 26/18 or 26/19. GY uses 26/19.
