Your wiper blades come with everything you need for a quick and easy installation. You won't need any additonal tools. Check out our easy to follow installation guide for your wiper type.
How do I identify my BMW 3 Series year and series?
Confirm the BMW 3 Series body first: Sedan, Wagon, Sedan-Hatch, Convertible, Coupe or Hatch. BMW records the build details on a plate beside a door aperture or at the B-pillar. The VIN is visible at the windscreen base.
Sedan codes include G20, F30 and E90; Wagon equivalents include G21, F31 and E91. G20 and F30 Sedans take identical wipers at the 2018 change. A 2018 or 2019 Wagon may be G21 or F31, and those blades differ. Use the body code and VIN before working back through the older Coupe, Convertible or Hatch series.

How to install front wiper blades for the BMW 3 Series?
G20/G21 3 Series blades are held by two pinch tabs. Move the arms to service position, squeeze both side tabs and pull the blade away from the flat arm. Start the replacement squarely, slide it on until both tabs return, and feel each side of the connector to confirm neither tab is trapped.
How do I install the rear wiper blade on a BMW 3 Series?
G21 rear arms use a hooked flat-arm connector. Lift the arm, press the side releases and slide the blade until its hooked tabs clear the adaptor. Engage both hooks on the 11-inch replacement, push it into place and check that the side releases have come back out.
What connector type does the BMW 3 Series use?
G20/G21, F30/F31/F34 and facelifted E90/E91/E92/E93 use pinch-tab front connectors. Pre-facelift E90/E91/E92/E93 uses capped side pins. E46, E36 and E30 use J-hook arms.
Did BMW 3 Series wiper blade sizes change between generations?

Do pre-facelift and facelift BMW 3 Series vehicles use different wiper sizes?
G20/G21 facelifts keep the 24/19-inch front pair and the G21's 11-inch rear. E90/E91 facelifts also retain 24/19-inch fronts and the E91's 14-inch rear. E92/E93 facelifts shorten the passenger blade from 18 to 17 inches while keeping a 24-inch driver blade.
Do the BMW 3 Series Sedan and Wagon use the same wiper blades?
BMW 3 Series bodies do not follow one universal set. G20/G21 and F30/F31/F34 share 24/19-inch fronts, but the wagons add an 11-inch rear. E36 Coupe/Sedan/Convertible use 21/20-inch fronts, while its Hatch and Wagon have different front pairs and rear lengths.

How do I activate wiper service position on a BMW 3 Series?
Switch the ignition off and free any blade stuck to the windscreen. Raise the wiper control beyond its resistance point for 3 seconds, stopping when the arms stand almost vertical. After replacement, settle both arms on the glass. Turn the ignition on and push the control down; the wipers will move back to their normal resting point.
What's the difference in the BMW 3 Series G20/G21 and F30/F31/F34?
The 2018 - 2026 G20/G21 3 Series has a longer wheelbase, more rear-seat space and BMW's expanded digital displays and driver aids. The 2012 - 2019 F30/F31/F34 is smaller inside and has the older dashboard, analogue-led instruments and freestanding iDrive screen.
