How do I identify my Ford Falcon year and series?
Confirm whether the Ford Falcon is a Sedan, Ute or Wagon, then inspect the build label through a right-hand doorway and check the VIN.
FG and FG-X use the same blades and connector in 2014. The change that matters is 2008: FG has the rounder nose, whereas BF keeps the rectangular grille and lighting arrangement. Use the build date for BA, AU and the earlier EF / EL and EA / EB / ED groups.

How to install front wiper blades for the Ford Falcon?
Pull the Falcon arm up and turn the blade so the J-hook clip is visible. Push the clip towards the blade assembly and slide the old unit down. If it has been there for years, work it back and forth rather than levering against the glass.
Guide the new adaptor onto the hook, pull until it takes hold and give the blade a shake before putting it down.
How do I install the rear wiper blade on a Ford Falcon?
Falcon Wagon rear blades attach to a J-hook. Lift the tailgate arm, press the adaptor tab and move the old blade towards the hook opening. Thread the replacement onto the curved arm, draw it into the bend until it locks and lower it without letting the spring take over.
What connector type does the Ford Falcon use?
FG-X, FG, BF, BA, AU, EF / EL and EA / EB / ED Falcons use J-hook front connectors . BF, BA and AU use the standard J-hook family; EF / EL and EA / EB / ED use the corresponding narrow-arm J-hook blade. Wagons also use a J-hook at the rear.
Did Ford Falcon wiper blade sizes change between generations?
FG-X and FG use 22-inch (550mm) and 20-inch (500mm) front blades. BF, BA, AU, EF / EL and EA / EB / ED use equal 22-inch (550mm) fronts, with a 16-inch (400mm) rear added on Wagon models.
Do the Ford Falcon Sedan and Ute use the same wiper blades?
Within a matching Falcon series, Sedan, Ute and Wagon use the same front blade lengths. BF through EA / EB / ED are 22 inches (550mm) on both sides. FG and FG-X Sedan or Ute use 22 inches (550mm) and 20 inches (500mm). Wagons add a rear blade.
Does every Ford Falcon body style have a rear wiper?
No. Falcon Wagons have a rear wiper. Sedan and Ute models use front blades only.
Do all Ford Falcon generations use the same front wiper-arm connector?
The FG-X, FG, BF, BA, AU, EF / EL and EA / EB / ED Falcon all use J-hook front arms.
What's the difference in the Ford Falcon FG-X and FG?
The FG-X Falcon is the final facelift, adding sharper front and rear styling, SYNC 2 infotainment and refreshed trim while preserving the FG platform and engine range. The FG has the earlier body details and first-generation dashboard electronics.
