How do I identify my Honda CR-V year and series?
The certification label in the Honda CR-V driver's door jamb provides the manufacture date and chassis code.
At the 2001, 2012, 2017 and 2023 boundaries, the code is more reliable than registration year. The RS also has a flat push-button wiper arm, while RW and the preceding series use J-hooks.

How to install front wiper blades for the Honda CR-V?
For an RS CR-V, move the wipers where the arms can clear the bonnet. Press the small button on the blade and pull the unit straight from the narrow flat arm. Watch the metal arm while it is bare and rest it down lightly if needed.
Guide the replacement onto the arm until the button returns through the locking hole. Check it with your fingertips before lowering it. RW and earlier CR-Vs use the J-hook method instead.
How do I install the rear wiper blade on a Honda CR-V?
Move the CR-V rear arm away from the tailgate glass and turn the blade across the arm. Release the hook-and-socket connection and lift the old blade from its locating point. Position the replacement at the same angle, press it onto the socket and rotate it back until it follows the arm naturally.
What connector type does the Honda CR-V use?
The RS CR-V uses narrow push-button front arms. The RW, RM, RE and both RD generations use J-hooks. Rear fittings also vary, which is why the series should be chosen before the size.
Did Honda CR-V wiper blade sizes change between generations?
RS and RW are quite different. RS uses 24-inch (600mm) and 19-inch (475mm) narrow push-button fronts with a 10-inch (250mm) rear. RW uses 26-inch (650mm) and 16-inch (400mm) J-hook fronts with a 12-inch (300mm) rear.
Do all Honda CR-V generations use the same front wiper-arm connector?
The 2023 - 2026 RS CR-V has narrow push-button front connectors. The 2017 - 2023 RW, 2012 - 2017 RM, 2007 - 2012 RE and RD CR-Vs use J-hook arms.
How do I activate wiper service position on a Honda CR-V?
On an RS CR-V, turn the power mode on and then off. Within 10 seconds, hold the wiper control in the MIST position until both blades move up and stop. The arms can then be lifted without striking the bonnet. Once the work is finished, power up and run one wipe cycle to return the arms to their normal park.
What's the difference in the Honda CR-V RS and RW?
The 2023 - 2026 RS CR-V is larger and squarer, with a cleaner dashboard, updated safety technology and an available e:HEV hybrid. The 2017 - 2023 RW has the rounder previous body, older cabin layout and earlier turbo-petrol-focused range.
