How do I identify my Land Rover Defender year and series?
Check the Defender vehicle label for the production date, then confirm the VIN through the lower corner of the windscreen. Match those details to L663 or 90 / 110 / 130.
This is usually easy to tell at a glance. L663 has a rounded modern body and a screen-led cabin; 90 / 110 / 130 is upright, with exposed hinges and flatter panels. The two groups use different blade sizes and front connectors.

On L663, raise the arm carefully and press the small button in the narrow flat connector. Draw the blade towards the arm tip, guide the replacement into the connector channel and stop when the button locks through its opening.
How do I install the rear wiper blade on a Land Rover Defender?
The L663 rear blade is retained by a hooked flat arm. With the arm raised, squeeze both side releases, disengage the hooked tabs and remove the adaptor. Tuck the replacement beneath those tabs and verify that each side has caught.

L663 uses narrow push-button fronts and a hooked flat-arm rear. The 90 / 110 / 130 group uses J-hook front arms.
