Put the BP Mazda 3 wipers into maintenance position first. With the arm lifted and the glass protected, open the J-hook adaptor and slide the old blade towards the hook opening. Pull the replacement into the curved section until it locks, set the arm down gently, then cancel maintenance position so the wipers can park.

Lift a Mazda 3 Hatch rear arm and rotate the blade until the connector reaches its release point. Draw the blade socket off the hooked arm end. Push the replacement onto that end, check that the joint is firm but still pivots, and lower it slowly.

BP, BM/BN, BL and BK Mazda 3 front blades all use J-hook connectors. Hatch rear arms use hook-and-socket fittings, with the rear family changing on BK.

Front and rear lengths changed together. BP is 26/17/14 inches on the Hatch, BM/BN is 24/18/12, BL is 24/19/14, and BK is 21/19/14. The matching Sedan in each series uses the same front pair without a rear blade.
