How do I identify my Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class year and series?
Check the CLA-Class vehicle identification label for the production details, then confirm the VIN visible through the lower windscreen. Confirm whether the car is a Coupe or Wagon before matching the series.
For Coupe, match the year to C174 / C178 / Spray, C118 or C117. X117 is the Wagon with the rear blade size described below, so the body check also determines whether a rear blade is required.

Raise the CLA-Class arm and turn the blade enough to reach the keyed top-lock. Release the adaptor's top or side tab, slide the keyed flat arm clear and fit the replacement over the same key. Close the lock and verify it by hand.

On X117 Wagon, the rear connector is a hooked flat-arm. Squeeze the side releases, slide the hooked tabs out of the old adaptor and lock the replacement beneath those hooks.
