How do I install my wiper blades?

How do I identify my Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class year and series?
With the driver's door open, locate the Mercedes-Benz vehicle identification plate on the B-pillar. Note the manufacture date and VIN, then compare the VIN with the number visible through the lower windscreen. Match 2015 - 2018 to W166 Facelift or 2023 - 2026 to W167 Facelift; for the W167 entry, also confirm that the GLE-Class is a Coupe.
A quick cabin check separates them. W167 has two digital displays joined in one wide MBUX panel, while W166 uses a separate centre screen and a conventional instrument binnacle. Their front blade pairs and connectors differ, so use the plate and VIN as the final check.

For a W167 Facelift Coupe, rotate the raised blade enough to expose its keyed top-lock. Unfasten the adaptor, ease the keyed arm out of the low-profile housing and place the replacement squarely over that key. Close the latch, give the blade one careful tug and return the arm.
How do I install the rear wiper blade on a Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class?
The W166 Facelift rear uses a fork snap-clip. Hold the arm above the window, unclip the blade from the forked end and press the replacement into the moulded channel until it catches beneath the retaining ledge.
What connector type does the Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class use?
W167 Facelift Coupe uses a keyed top-lock front connector. W166 Facelift uses a wide push-button front and a fork snap-clip rear.
