How to install front wiper blades for the MG MG3?
ZP22 MG3 blades fasten to a forked top-lock arm. Lift the arm over protected glass, open the centre lock and slide the fork around the connector body to free the blade. Guide the replacement between the forked sides until its centre clip catches, pull back lightly to prove the lock, then lower the arm in your hand.
How do I install the rear wiper blade on a MG MG3?
The MG3 rear uses a moulded hook-and-socket fitting. Swing the blade away from the tailgate glass, pivot it to unload the joint and pop the socket from the arm hook. Seat the new connector over the hook until it snaps firmly into place, then lower and test it.
What connector type does the MG MG3 use?
MG3 connector design changed for ZP22. The 3rd Gen uses a forked top-lock front fitting; SZP1 and the 2nd Gen use J-hooks.
Did MG MG3 wiper blade sizes change between generations?
Yes. ZP22 keeps the 22-inch driver blade but increases the passenger blade from 17 to 19 inches, while the rear drops from 14 to 10 inches.
Do pre-facelift and facelift MG MG3 vehicles use different wiper sizes?
No. The 2018 - 2024 SZP1 / 2nd Gen Facelift and 2016 - 2018 2nd Gen use identical 22/17-inch fronts and a 14-inch rear.
Do all MG MG3 generations use the same front wiper-arm connector?
ZP22 / 3rd Gen MG3 uses a forked top-lock arm. SZP1 / 2nd Gen Facelift and 2nd Gen use J-hooks.
What's the difference in the MG MG3 ZP22 / 3rd Gen and SZP1 / 2nd Gen Facelift?
The 2024 - 2026 ZP22 / 3rd Gen MG3 is larger and sits on a redesigned platform, with twin-screen cabin technology, expanded safety systems and a hybrid option. The 2018 - 2024 SZP1 / 2nd Gen Facelift uses the smaller preceding body, a simpler dashboard and petrol-only drivetrain.
