How do I identify my Mitsubishi Lancer year and series?
First confirm whether the Mitsubishi Lancer is a Hatch or Sedan. Read the manufacture date, VIN and series code from the vehicle plate or compliance label, then make sure the body, year and code agree.
A 2011 or 2015 Lancer can sit between CJ facelift and CF variants, so use the body type and series code rather than the registration year alone.

How to install front wiper blades for the Mitsubishi Lancer?
Mitsubishi Lancer front arms use J-hooks throughout these series. Turn the blade until the adaptor opening follows the hook, hold the release and move the blade inwards towards the arm pivot. Ease the curved end out, guide it through the replacement adaptor and pull outwards until the catch seats. Tug lightly at the joint before returning the arm to the windscreen.
How do I install the rear wiper blade on a Mitsubishi Lancer?
CF and CJ Hatch rear blades use a hook-and-socket fitting: rotate the joint, pop the socket from the hook and press the replacement onto it. CE Wagon, CC Hatch/Wagon and CA/CB Hatch use J-hook rear fittings. Turn the blade across the arm, hold the release and guide the curved metal end out before fitting the replacement.
What connector type does the Mitsubishi Lancer use?
Every Mitsubishi Lancer series uses a J-hook front connector.
Did Mitsubishi Lancer wiper blade sizes change between generations?
Yes. Front pairs are 24/17 inches on CF and CJ Sedan, 24/16 on CJ Hatch, 24/18 on CG/CH, 21/19 on CE and 20/18 on CC or CA/CB.
Do pre-facelift and facelift Mitsubishi Lancer vehicles use different wiper sizes?
No. The CJ Hatch facelift keeps its 24/16-inch front pair and 14-inch rear. The rear connector changes from J-hook on 2008 - 2011 CJ Hatch to hook-and-socket on 2011 - 2015 CJ Facelift Hatch.
Do the Mitsubishi Lancer Sedan and Hatch use the same wiper blades?
CF Sedan and Hatch share 24/17-inch fronts. CG/CH Sedan and Wagon share 24/18 inches; CE Sedan, Coupe and Wagon use 21/19; CC Sedan, Coupe, Hatch and Wagon use 20/18. CJ Sedan differs from CJ Hatch in passenger-side length.
Does every Mitsubishi Lancer body style have a rear wiper?
Rear blades are fitted to CF Hatch, both CJ Hatch versions, CE Wagon, CC Hatch or Wagon, and CA/CB Hatch. The corresponding Sedans and Coupes use front blades only.

What's the difference in the Mitsubishi Lancer CJ/CF and CG/CH?
The 2007 - 2017 CJ/CF-era Lancer has the broad trapezoidal grille and a larger body than the preceding car. CG/CH uses the earlier rounded cabin and front treatment, while CE , CC and CA/CB step back through smaller, lighter Lancer generations with distinct Sedan, Coupe, Hatch and Wagon shapes.
