How do I identify my Toyota Aurion year and series?
Toyota New Zealand says the VIN compliance label may be on the driver's or passenger's door jamb, with the VIN also stamped into the floor in front of the driver's seat. Read the identifier there and use it to confirm the Toyota Aurion manufacture year and series.
Check a 2011 or 2012 Aurion carefully: XV40 covers 2006 - 2011 and XV50 covers 2012 - 2017, and the two series use different front blade pairs. The XV40 has a softer, rounded nose with larger oval headlamp housings and a compact upright grille. The XV50 looks squarer at the front, with slimmer pointed headlamps and a wider, flatter grille; at the rear, a broad chrome bar runs between the tail-lights. Confirm the result with the compliance label and VIN.

What is the length of the Toyota Aurion wiper blades?
The 2012 - 2017 XV50 Aurion uses a 26-inch (650 mm) driver blade and an 18-inch (450 mm) passenger blade. The 2006 - 2011 XV40 uses a 24-inch (600 mm) driver and 20-inch (500 mm) passenger blade.
How to install front wiper blades for the Toyota Aurion?
With an Aurion J-hook exposed, hold the raised arm rather than resting it on the windscreen. Turn the blade, release it from the hook and slide it out. Feed the curved arm through the new adaptor, pull until the locking tab closes and check the connection before placing the arm back down.
What connector type does the Toyota Aurion use?
A J-hook attaches each front blade on both XV50 and XV40 Toyota Aurion models.
Did Toyota Aurion wiper blade sizes change between generations?
Yes. XV50 uses 26/18-inch front blades, while XV40 uses a shorter driver and longer passenger combination at 24/20 inches.
