Before unclipping the Corolla blade, cover the windscreen with a towel so the bare arm cannot strike the glass. Flip up the adaptor cover and bring the old blade back along the J-hook until it slips off. Pass the hook into the replacement and draw the blade forward until the latch shuts. Lower the arm by hand, then try it on a wet screen.

On a Corolla Hatch or Wagon, raise the rear arm and turn the blade to expose its socket. Pull the socket off the arm's hooked end. Position the new blade at the same angle, push the joint together until it locks and fold the assembly back to the rear window.

Corolla front wipers use J-hook connectors throughout E90, E100, E110, E120, E150, E170, E180 and E210. Rear Hatch and Wagon fittings vary between J-hook and hook-and-socket styles by series.

They changed several times. E210 uses 28/14-inch fronts; E180 or E170 uses 26/14; E150 uses 26/16; E120 uses 24/18; and E100 or E90 uses 20/18. E110 needs a body check because the Hatch is 20/18 but the Sedan is 20/17.

E210 Hatch and Sedan share 28/14-inch front blades, but only the Hatch has a 12-inch rear. E120 Hatch, Sedan and Wagon all use 24/18-inch fronts; the Hatch and Wagon add a 14-inch rear, whereas the Sedan has none.

No. Corolla Sedans have front blades only. Hatchbacks have rear wipers, and the E120 and E90 Wagons also carry a rear blade.

J-hook front arms are used throughout the E90 to E210 Corolla series.

The E210 Corolla adopted Toyota's TNGA platform, giving it a lower stance, more composed handling and updated hybrid and safety systems. Its predecessors, the E180 Hatch and E170 Sedan , use older underpinnings and have more conventional cabin layouts.
