How do I install my wiper blades?

How do I identify my Toyota Hilux year and series?
Toyota's Vehicle Compliance label may be on either front door jamb, and another identifier is stamped into the floor just forward of the driver's seat. Read the build date before matching the Toyota Hilux series.
The ranges run from AN220 / AN230 (2025 - 2026) through AN120 / AN130, AN10 / AN20 / AN30, N140 / N150 / N160 / N170 and N100 / N110 / N80 / N90. The required blades also change between several older series. For a 2015 build, AN120 / AN130 has a larger grille and sharper nose than AN10 / AN20 / AN30; use the VIN if accessories obscure the front design.

How to install front wiper blades for the Toyota Hilux?
Lift the Hilux arm, but keep hold of it because the spring tension is stronger than it looks. Slide the old blade down towards the open end of the J-hook, then angle the adaptor away so the hook can come through. Thread the replacement onto the arm and pull it into the curve until it catches. Check it by hand before putting the arm down and running the washers.
What connector type does the Toyota Hilux use?
The Hilux front connection is J-hook from N80/N90/N100/N110 through to AN220/AN230.
Did Toyota Hilux wiper blade sizes change between generations?
They did. Hilux front blades changed from 16/16 inches on N80/N90/N100/N110 to 17/17 on N140/N150/N160/N170, then 21/19 on AN10/AN20/AN30. AN120/AN130 and AN220/AN230 share the 22/16-inch pair.
Do all Toyota Hilux generations use the same front wiper-arm connector?
Connector style did not change across these Hilux series. N80/N90/N100/N110, N140/N150/N160/N170, AN10/AN20/AN30, AN120/AN130 and AN220/AN230 all have J-hook front arms.
What's the difference in the Toyota Hilux AN220 and AN120?
The 2025 - 2026 AN220 / AN230 Hilux brings a squarer exterior, redesigned cabin and updated driver technology. The 2015 - 2025 AN120 / AN130 is the preceding shape, with an older dashboard layout and less integrated technology.
