How do I identify my Honda HR-V year and series?
Open the Honda HR-V driver's door and read the certification label for the manufacture date, VIN and chassis code. Match those details to the generation:
RV has the later coupe-like five-door profile, RU has concealed rear door handles near the window line, and GH has the compact upright shape of the earlier model.

How to install front wiper blades for the Honda HR-V?
On the Honda HR-V J-hook, turn the raised blade until the small plastic tab can be felt with a fingertip. Push that tab in, then slide the blade firmly down towards the windscreen until it pops off the hook. Open the replacement's cap if fitted, seat the curved hook inside the plastic housing and pull until it clicks. Close the cap, give the assembly several firm shakes and only then guide the arm back to the glass.
How do I install the rear wiper blade on a Honda HR-V?
RV and RU rear blades use a moulded hook-and-socket fitting. Lift the rear arm, turn the blade at the joint and release its socket from the arm hook. Align the replacement socket with the hook, press until seated and check that the blade pivots without separating.
What connector type does the Honda HR-V use?
RV Facelift, RV, RU and GH use J-hook front connectors.
Did Honda HR-V wiper blade sizes change between generations?
Yes. RV uses a 22/19-inch front pair and 14-inch rear; RU changes to 26/16 inches and a 10-inch rear; GH uses 21/16-inch fronts.
