How do I identify my Nissan Patrol year and series?
Confirm whether the Nissan Patrol is an SUV or Cab Chassis, then read the manufacture date from the certification label on the driver-side centre pillar.
Y62 Series 1, Series 2 / 3 and Series 4 / 5 use the same blades and connector, so their overlapping years do not need an exterior check. On older Patrols, the wipers change between GU Series 1 / 2 / 3 and GU Series 4 in 2004; use the VIN and exact series code.

What is the length of the Nissan Patrol wiper blades?

How to install front wiper blades for the Nissan Patrol?
The Patrol's J-hooks are exposed and easy to follow. Bring the arm up, turn the blade and push its locking tab. Run the old unit down the straight part of the arm, then tip the adaptor clear of the hook.
Pass the replacement adaptor over the hook and draw it back until the tab closes. Hold the blade near its centre while lowering the arm, so the connection is not twisted.
How do I install the rear wiper blade on a Nissan Patrol?
For a Patrol SUV, hold the tailgate arm up and fold the blade across it. Depress the rear adaptor tab, work the curved arm end out and thread the replacement back through. Pull until it latches, then place the assembly on the window by hand.
What connector type does the Nissan Patrol use?
Y62, GU and GQ Patrols use J-hook front connectors . GU and GQ SUV rear blades also use J-hooks; Cab Chassis models use front blades only.
Did Nissan Patrol wiper blade sizes change between generations?
Y62 retains one size through Series 1 to 5. GU Series 4 to 7 also share their measurements. The change from GU Series 1 / 2 / 3 to Series 4 increases the driver from 19 inches (475mm) to 20 inches (500mm) and the SUV rear from 13 inches (325mm) to 14 inches (350mm).
