How do I identify my SsangYong Rexton year and series?
Read the SsangYong Rexton VIN at the base of the windscreen and match it with the manufacture date on the vehicle identification information.
The 2017 change matters. Y400 and Y450 Facelift have a broad upright grille and slim headlamps; Y290, Y250 and Y200/Y220 have the narrower, rounder earlier body. The two groups use different blade sizes and different front connectors.

How to install front wiper blades for the SsangYong Rexton?
On Y450 Facelift or Y400, take the spring load with one hand and thumb the slim connector release with the other. Withdraw the blade along the arm; feed the replacement into the track until the catch appears, then check it with a short tug.
How do I install the rear wiper blade on a SsangYong Rexton?
Y450 Facelift and Y400 use a hook-and-socket rear fitting: pull the blade socket off the moulded hook and snap the replacement back over it. Y290, Y250 and Y200/Y220 use a J-hook rear arm.
What connector type does the SsangYong Rexton use?
The Y450 Facelift and Y400 have narrow push-button fronts with a hook-and-socket rear. Y290, Y250 and Y200/Y220 use J-hooks front and rear.

What's the difference in the SsangYong Rexton Y450 Facelift and Y400?
The Y450 Facelift Rexton revises the Y400 with a larger grille, updated lamps, a refreshed cabin and an eight-speed automatic. The Y400 has the original front and rear styling and the earlier transmission and dashboard specification.
