How do I identify my Subaru Forester year and series?
The Forester certification label in the door opening gives its build month and year. Check that against the VIN.
A 2025 Forester can be SL or SK. SL has a broader grille that visually joins the headlights and a squarer front; SK keeps a more separate grille and lamp layout. For a 2018 vehicle, SK has sharper C-shaped lighting and a more upright nose, while SJ has the narrower, rounder previous front. Earlier Foresters should be matched from the date rather than listing every generation.

How to install front wiper blades for the Subaru Forester?
On an SL Forester, lift the arm and locate the release on the forked push-button adaptor. Press it in while sliding the blade away from the arm. Keep a hand around the arm, guide the replacement back through the fork, push until the catch returns and give the blade a light pull before lowering it.
How do I install the rear wiper blade on a Subaru Forester?
Raise the Forester rear arm, turn the old blade across the arm and separate its centre socket from the hooked end. Match that angle with the replacement, press the pieces together until the blade pivots securely, then lay the arm back on the rear window.
What connector type does the Subaru Forester use?
SL and SK Foresters use forked push-button front connectors. SJ, SH, SG and SF have J-hook front arms. Rear fittings are hook-and-socket on SK through SG, with a J-hook rear on SF.
Did Subaru Forester wiper blade sizes change between generations?
Each Forester transition brings at least one change. SL is 26/16/16 inches, SK is 26/16/14, SJ is 26/17/14, SH is 24/18/14, SG is 22/19/16, and SF is 21/19/15.
