How do I identify my Subaru Impreza year and series?
Confirm whether the Subaru Impreza is a Hatch, Coupe or Sedan. The Impreza certification label in the door opening supplies the manufacture date.
The recent G6, G5 and G4 choices apply to Hatch or Sedan vehicles. For a 2016 build, G5 has a larger hexagonal grille, sharper headlights and a more angular body; G4 has the narrower previous nose. Coupe choices use WRX or GC wording instead. Match older G3, GG, GD, GM or GC codes from the body, date and VIN.

How to install front wiper blades for the Subaru Impreza?
On a J-hook Impreza, squeeze the adaptor and flip it up, then pull the blade back until the loop can leave the fitting. Rock the replacement adaptor, slip it under the hook and draw it firmly into place.
G5 uses a forked push button instead: press its release and slide the blade off the fork. G6 returns to a J-hook.
How do I install the rear wiper blade on a Subaru Impreza?
G6 through GG Facelift Impreza Hatches have a rear hook-and-socket joint. Hold the arm away from the tailgate, over-rotate the blade and separate the centre joint. Snap the replacement onto the locating hook and turn it forwards. Earlier GG and GM attachments differ, making the code important.
What connector type does the Subaru Impreza use?
G6 uses J-hook front arms, G5 uses forked push buttons , and G4, G3, GG, GD, GM and GC use J-hooks . Hatch rear fittings vary on the older codes.
Did Subaru Impreza wiper blade sizes change between generations?
G6 and G5 share 26-inch (650mm) and 16-inch (400mm) front lengths, plus a 12-inch (300mm) Hatch rear. The front connector changes from forked push button on G5 to J-hook on G6.
Do pre-facelift and facelift Subaru Impreza vehicles use different wiper sizes?
The GG Facelift retains the GG Hatch's 22-inch (550mm) and 17-inch (425mm) front blades. Its rear grows from 15 inches (375mm) to 16 inches (400mm), while the front J-hook fitting remains unchanged.
Do the Subaru Impreza Hatch and Sedan use the same wiper blades?
Hatch and Sedan Imprezas share front sizes within G5, G4 and G3. GG Hatch matches GD Sedan at 22 inches (550mm) and 17 inches (425mm); GM Hatch matches GC Sedan at 20 inches (500mm) and 18 inches (450mm). Rear fitment is confined to Hatch bodies.
Does every Subaru Impreza body style have a rear wiper?
No. A rear blade is fitted to Impreza Hatches. Sedan and Coupe bodies use front wipers only.

The G6, G4, G3, GG, GD, GM and GC Impreza use J-hook fronts. The G5 uses forked push-button arms.

The G6 Impreza is Hatch-only in New Zealand, with a stiffer body, larger portrait touchscreen and updated EyeSight safety technology. The G5 was offered as Hatch or Sedan and uses the previous cabin layout, platform development and forked-arm exterior design.
