How do I identify my Volvo XC60 year and series?
Check the Volvo XC60 VIN at the base of the windscreen, then use the vehicle's manufacture date and type designation to confirm Mk2 or Mk1.
A 2017 XC60 can be either. Mk2 has the T-shaped 'Thor's Hammer' daytime-running lights and a portrait centre touchscreen. Mk1 has larger conventional headlamp units and a dashboard with a separate centre control panel. The rear fitting changes across the earlier Mk1 split.

How to install front wiper blades for the Volvo XC60?
For Mk1 and Mk1 Facelift, support the raised arm and press the broad button on top of the connector. Slide the blade off the flat arm, guide the replacement on without twisting it and make sure the button returns fully before lowering the arm.
How do I install the rear wiper blade on a Volvo XC60?
Mk2 and Mk1 Facelift use a fork snap-clip rear fitting: lift the arm, unclip the blade out of its fork; the replacement is then pushed squarely into that seat. Early Mk1 uses a slide-on tongue, which pulls out and pushes back along the arm fitting.
What connector type does the Volvo XC60 use?
Mk1 and Mk1 Facelift use wide push-button front connectors. Mk2 and Mk1 Facelift have fork snap-clip rear fittings; early Mk1 uses a slide-on tongue rear.
Did Volvo XC60 wiper blade sizes change between generations?
